Description
Rendered in left lateral profile, the female head and upper neck are opened to expose the cerebrum with its gyri and sulci superiorly, while major arterial and venous channels course from the cervical region into the cranial cavity. Red arterial pathways logically include the common carotid bifurcation with continuation as the internal carotid artery toward the skull base, with external carotid branches distributing to the face and scalp, while blue venous drainage tracks toward the internal jugular vein. Yellow neural elements trace the cranial nerves as they emerge from the brainstem and traverse the parotid, orbit, and pharyngeal regions, with peripheral branches radiating across the face anterior to the auricle and into the neck.
