Posterior thoracic surface anatomy is rendered in a standing adult Black male, with the scapular region highlighted in blue over the posterior ribs. The scapulae sit posterolaterally on the thoracic cage, their medial borders paralleling the thoracic spinous processes while the acromion and spine of scapula lie superior and lateral relative to the inferior angles. Along the midline, the vertebral column forms a clear posterior reference, and the posterior axillary folds mark the lateral transition from trunk to upper limb.
