Description

Posterior arm anatomy dominates the composition, with the triceps brachii occupying the dorsal compartment of the brachium and contouring the posterior humerus from proximal to distal. The long head arises proximally from the infraglenoid tubercle of the scapula and descends medially, while the lateral and medial heads take origin from the posterior surface of the humerus on either side of the radial groove, forming a broad muscle mass lateral and deep to the long head. Distally, the three heads converge into the common triceps tendon, inserting on the olecranon of the ulna and spanning the posterior aspect of the elbow joint. Clear form. Strong lines.
