Running within a transparent male torso, the spinal cord sits centrally in the vertebral canal with paired spinal nerve roots exiting laterally toward the lumbar plexus. Along the anterior median fissure, the anterior spinal artery descends in the midline, while paired posterior spinal arteries track on the dorsolateral surface near the dorsal root entry zones.
