Positioned on the lateral aspect of the knee, the inferior lateral genicular vein tracks deep to the superficial fascia along the lateral joint line, collecting blood from periarticular tissues and the synovium before draining toward the popliteal venous system. Adjacent red arterial channels represent the inferior lateral genicular artery and small arterioles that run in parallel, a typical artery-vein pairing around the capsule.
