Description
Running between the posterior shafts of the radius laterally and the ulna medially, the interosseous membrane is rendered as a broad syndesmosis spanning from the proximal forearm toward the distal radioulnar region. Its fibers bridge the interosseous borders, leaving the bony contours of the radial and ulnar diaphyses readable along either side. Distally, the membrane tapers toward the wrist, where the distal radius lies proximal to the carpal row and the distal ulna approaches the ulnar side of the wrist complex.
