Suspended within dark red plasma, erythrocytes (red blood cells) dominate the field as biconcave discs, their convex rims catching light as they drift past one another in partial overlap. Center frame, an icosahedral adenovirus virion appears as a purple particle with outward-projecting capsid features, positioned anterior to the deeper, blurred cellular background and surrounded by a thin halo of plasma components.
