Description
Anterior chest wall anatomy is centered on the pectoralis minor, a thin triangular muscle arising from the anterior surfaces of ribs 3 to 5 near their costal cartilages and converging superolaterally to insert on the coracoid process of the scapula. Superficial to it, the pectoralis major spans from the clavicle and sternum toward the proximal humerus, framing the deltopectoral region laterally.
