Scaphoid tubercle occupies the volar, radial corner of the proximal carpal row, projecting from the distal pole of the scaphoid just distal to its articular surface with the radius. From this anterior (palmar) perspective, the tubercle reads as a rounded prominence on the lateral aspect of the scaphoid, with the scaphoid body extending proximally and medially toward the scaphoid waist and lunate-facing surface. Adjacent joint relationships are implied by the contour of the distal scaphoid, which normally meets the trapezium and trapezoid on its distal and distal ulnar facets. A small landmark.
