Description
Anteriorly oriented anatomy of the left lower lobe centers on the B8 bronchus, the anterior basal segmental bronchus (bronchus segmentalis anterobasalis sinister) branching from the left lower lobar bronchus and coursing anteroinferiorly toward the basal segments. Its lumen and cartilaginous wall are seen projecting forward relative to the more posterior basal bronchi, with accompanying segmental pulmonary artery and veins expected to run in close proximity, veins tending to occupy intersegmental planes.
