Seen from a superior (dorsal) perspective, the cerebral hemispheres are rendered with clear gyri and sulci across the parietal convexities, while a prominent superior sagittal sinus runs in the midline within the superior margin of the falx cerebri. The superior anastomotic vein of Trolard arcs in a serpentine course over the upper lateral surface, bridging superficial cortical veins from the central region toward the midline sinus. Its trajectory places it lateral to the superior sagittal sinus and typically near the precentral and postcentral gyri as it crosses the superior parietal lobule toward the parasagittal venous collectors. Sulcal patterns provide the surface landmarks that orient the vessel’s relationship to the central sulcus.
