Description
Proximal phalanx (phalanx proximalis pedis) dominates the frame, with emphasis on the body or shaft (corpus phalangis) between the proximal base and distal head. In anatomical position, the shaft tapers slightly from the broader proximal end toward the distal end, with medial and lateral surfaces bounded by palpable dorsal and plantar margins.
