Description
Anteriorly, the distal femur and proximal tibia frame the knee (genu), with the patella seated in the trochlear groove and centered over the intercondylar region. A translucent, pseudo X-ray overlay keeps the bony contours readable while the venous system is traced in blue across the anterior lower limb. The great saphenous vein courses along the anteromedial leg and knee, receiving superficial tributaries that converge toward the medial femoral condyle. Across the patellar region, superficial veins form a peripatellar plexus superficial to the patellar tendon and tibial tuberosity. Clear landmarks.
