Spanning from the cervical region to the distal feet, this anterior view maps superficial and deep lymphatic vessels with clustered lymph nodes at the jugular chain, supraclavicular fossa, axillae, mediastinum, mesentery, and inguinal regions. The thoracic duct ascends from the cisterna chyli in the upper abdomen, courses superiorly near the midline, and terminates at the left venous angle, while the right lymphatic duct drains the right upper quadrant into the right venous angle. Anteriorly, the thymus sits in the superior mediastinum above the cardiac silhouette, and the spleen occupies the left upper quadrant, lateral to the stomach under the costal margin. An anterior whole-body lymphatic overview matters because it links regional node basins to predictable drainage pathways that guide exam, imaging, and operative planning.
