Description
Radiating through a semi-transparent forearm into the palm and digits, the arterial tree is dominated by the radial and ulnar arteries, which contribute to the deep and superficial palmar arches before giving rise to common and proper palmar digital arteries. Superficial venous channels course in parallel, draining distally from the fingers toward the dorsal venous network and proximally toward the cephalic and basilic pathways. Distal to the carpus, the palmar arches lie anterior to the metacarpals and interossei, while the digital vessels track along the lateral and medial margins of each finger as tight neurovascular bundles.
