Description

From a right-sided perspective, the ascending aorta emerges superiorly from the left ventricle at the aortic root, then sweeps posteriorly and to the left as it approaches the aortic arch. The right atrium and right ventricle occupy the anterior, rightward aspect of the cardiac silhouette, while the pulmonary trunk courses anterior to the ascending aorta before bifurcating into the right and left pulmonary arteries. Coronary vessels trace the epicardial surface, with right coronary artery branches running in the right atrioventricular groove and along the acute margin, and cardiac veins traveling alongside them toward the coronary sinus. Color coding distinguishes oxygenated arterial outflow from deoxygenated venous return. Clean and legible.
