Color segmentation divides the stomach (gaster, ventriculus) in a lateral profile, separating the cardia at the gastroesophageal junction from the fundus projecting superiorly beneath the left hemidiaphragm. Anterior and posterior surfaces converge toward the lesser curvature on the superomedial border and the greater curvature on the inferolateral border, with the body (corpus gastricum) spanning between fundus and antrum. Distally, the pyloric antrum narrows to the pyloric canal and terminates at the pylorus, continuous with the first part of the duodenum. Clear boundaries. Fast recognition.
