Anteriorly oriented, the right lung is presented with the middle lobe’s medial bronchopulmonary segment (segmentum mediale, S5) color-segmented against the surrounding parenchyma. The highlighted segment lies anteromedially between the horizontal fissure superiorly and the oblique fissure inferiorly, with the superior lobe positioned cranial to it and the inferior lobe extending caudally. Medially, the segment abuts the mediastinal surface and pericardium, while its lateral contour blends toward the middle lobe’s lateral segment.
