Distally, the carpal rows articulate with the metacarpals and phalanges, and inferiorly the os coxae (ilium, ischium, pubis) form the acetabula for the femoral heads; the tibia sits medial to the fibula at the leg, continuing to the tarsals, metatarsals, and toe phalanges.
