Description
Presented on a semi-transparent adult female figure in a slight right anterior oblique stance, the cardiovascular anatomy centers on the heart within the middle mediastinum, with the aorta arching superiorly before descending as the thoracic and abdominal aorta. Common carotid vessels ascend in the neck toward the head while internal jugular veins course inferiorly to the brachiocephalic veins and superior vena cava, and paired subclavian and axillary vessels continue distally into the brachial, radial, and ulnar distributions of the upper limb. Inferiorly, the abdominal aorta bifurcates into the common iliac arteries, continuing as femoral and popliteal arteries with tibial runoff to the feet, mirrored by deep venous return through the femoral and iliac veins to the inferior vena cava. Color coding differentiates arterial outflow (red) from venous return (blue). Clear and legible.
