Description
Oriented in lateral projection, the humerus is highlighted along its full length from the rounded head and anatomical neck proximally to the lateral epicondyle and distal shaft. Superiorly, the humeral head sits medial to the greater tubercle as it approximates the glenoid cavity of the scapula, while the surgical neck marks the transition into the shaft. Midshaft, the deltoid tuberosity forms a coarse, lateral elevation for deltoid insertion, and the bone’s relationship to the scapula and clavicle frames the shoulder girdle in anatomical position.
