Description
Centered in anatomical position, the female axial skeleton is rendered with the cervical spine (C1 to C7) highlighted in blue against the neutral tones of the remaining vertebral column. Superiorly, the atlas (C1) supports the occipital condyles at the craniovertebral junction, while the axis (C2) sits immediately inferior with the dens projecting cranially toward the anterior arch of C1.
