Description
Presented in a superior view within a hemisected male skull, the cerebrum fills the cranial cavity with the longitudinal fissure separating right and left cerebral hemispheres along the midline. Cortical gyri and sulci form the outer contour of the cerebral cortex, while the posterior fossa contents appear inferiorly with the cerebellar hemispheres and vermis tucked posterior to the brainstem. Medially, the cut cranial vault exposes the inner table with dural groove patterns and bony contours, framing the encephalon in situ. Orientation is unambiguous.
