Description

Rendered as a transparent mandible in a male adult, the mandibular canal is opened optically to follow the inferior alveolar artery coursing anteroinferiorly from the mandibular foramen toward the mental foramen, running alongside the inferior alveolar nerve. Fine arteriolar branches radiate superiorly toward the apices of the incisors, canines, premolars, and molars, tracking the dental arcade in a gentle curve. The mandibular body and alveolar process remain semi-visible as a bony envelope, so the vessel-to-tooth relationships read clearly in medial to lateral and posterior to anterior progression.
