Description
Anteriorly oriented along the frontal margin, the parietal bone is presented with the coronal suture forming its serrated articulation with the frontal bone, while the sagittal suture tracks superiorly toward the midline where it would meet the contralateral parietal. The outer table of the parietal squama occupies the lateral cranial vault, with the superior margin approaching the vertex and the inferior extent tapering toward the temporal lines. Sutural morphology is the focus. Expect adjacent landmarks to be implied rather than fully framed, including the frontal bone anteriorly and the paired parietals medially.
