Description
Posterior full-body anatomy centers on the brain and spinal cord as the midline axis of the central nervous system, continuous from the encephalon through the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral cord. From each spinal segment, paired spinal nerves emerge laterally via the intervertebral foramina, then divide into dorsal and ventral rami that distribute across the posterior trunk and into the limbs. In the upper extremity, larger peripheral nerve bundles course distally toward the arm and forearm; in the lower extremity, thick trunks descend through the gluteal region and posterior thigh toward the leg and foot. Yellow peripheral nerves contrast with the darker central cord. Clear topology.
