Description
Positioned on the inferonasal quadrant of the retina, the inferior nasal retinal venule drains the lower medial fundus and courses centripetally toward the optic disc, where it joins other retinal veins to form the central retinal vein. An anterior view through the pupil places the venule posterior to the cornea and lens, lying superficial to the retinal pigment epithelium yet closely applied to the inner retinal surface.
