Description
Medial to the patella and deep to the medial retinacular tissues, the middle genicular nerve is shown tracking from the peripatellar neural network toward the central knee joint. Along its course, it passes adjacent to the medial femoral condyle and proximal tibia, then disappears into the fibrous capsule to reach synovium and cruciate-related structures within the intercondylar region. Articular cartilage and the medial meniscus are rendered as blue layers at the femorotibial interface, clarifying the nerve’s relationship to load-bearing surfaces.
