Superiorly the nasal bone meets the frontal bone at the frontonasal suture, while posteriorly and inferiorly its margins relate to the frontal process of the maxilla and the piriform (anterior nasal) aperture. The nasal bone lies anterior to the nasal cavity proper, with the orbit and zygomatic bone positioned posterolateral, and the mandible and dentition visible inferiorly in the same profile view.
