Arising from the lacrimal artery within the orbit, the zygomatico-orbital artery courses anteriorly along the lateral orbital wall, running close to the zygomatic bone and the zygomaticofrontal region before contributing to the periorbital vascular network. A lateral head-and-neck perspective places it deep to the orbicularis oculi and adjacent to the lateral canthus, with the temporalis and masseter muscles occupying the lateral craniofacial field inferior and posterior to the orbit.
