Forearm musculature frames the region, with the flexor-pronator mass positioned anterior and medial, and the ulnar head of flexor carpi ulnaris tracking distally along the ulnar border toward the hand. Tendons course distally into the carpus, metacarpals, and phalanges, providing a continuous context from elbow stabilization to hand function. A medial posterior retinacular view matters when teaching posteromedial elbow stability and pain generators. Repetitive valgus loading in throwers concentrates shear at the posteromedial olecranon and can coexist with ulnar collateral ligament insufficiency, posteromedial impingement, and symptomatic triceps or flexor-pronator involvement.
