Description
Anterior facial soft tissues are rendered semi-transparently to localize the depressor supercilii within the medial brow, deep to the skin and superficial fascia and immediately adjacent to the glabellar complex. Medial to the superior orbital rim, its short muscular slips sit inferior to the frontalis fibers and blend with the corrugator supercilii, while the orbicularis oculi encircles the palpebral fissure laterally and inferiorly. The illustration also cues the underlying bony landmarks, including the frontal bone at the supraorbital margin and the zygomatic bone laterally, with nasal cartilages and paranasal sinus contours faintly indicated in the midline. Surface features remain readable. Hair and beard framing are intact. Depressor supercilii anatomy matters because its pull on the medial eyebrow contributes to glabellar frown lines and influences brow position during expression, so small differences in fiber direction and overlap with corrugator supercilii and orbicularis oculi change both aesthetic outcomes and functional symmetry.
