Description
Running over the posterior neck, trunk, and limbs, superficial lymphatic vessels course proximally from the hands and feet toward regional nodal basins, with visible clusters in the occipital and posterior cervical regions, axillae, and superficial inguinal area. Along the midline of the back, collecting trunks ascend beside the vertebral column toward the thoracic inlet, while lateral channels sweep from the scapular and flank regions into the axillary nodes. Deep in the left upper quadrant, the spleen sits superior to the left kidney, and the thymus occupies the anterior superior mediastinum even though the body is rendered from a back view, reinforcing pediatric immune anatomy. Clear landmarks.
