Description
Anteriorly, the zygomatic bone occupies the lateral midface, forming the prominent cheek eminence and the lateral margin of the orbit. Its orbital surface contributes to the lateral orbital wall and rim, while the frontal process ascends superiorly to meet the frontal bone at the frontozygomatic suture. Medially, the maxillary process approaches the maxilla near the infraorbital region, and laterally the temporal process projects posteriorly toward the zygomatic arch. Clear bony landmarks.
