Description
Centered on the nasal bridge, the dorsum nasi extends superiorly from the nasion at the frontonasal junction to the rhinion at the osteocartilaginous junction, then continues inferiorly toward the supratip region above the nasal tip. The paired nasal bones form the superior bony vault, while the upper lateral cartilages contribute to the middle vault and define the dorsal aesthetic lines lateral to the midline. Soft tissue thickness over the bony and cartilaginous framework is appreciable in profile and oblique assessment, and the semi-transparent cone overlays the dorsum to isolate the region of interest.
