Description
Seen from the medial aspect beneath intact superficial tissue, the triceps brachii dominates the posterior compartment of the brachium, with the long head positioned closest to the axilla and running inferiorly along the medial side of the humerus toward the olecranon. Anterior to it, grayscale volumes suggest the biceps brachii and brachialis forming the anterior arm contour, while the medial intermuscular septum marks the boundary between flexor and extensor compartments. Distally, triceps fibers converge into the common triceps tendon inserting on the proximal ulna, just posterior to the elbow joint line. Fiber direction is clear.
