Description

Bone texture is rendered to distinguish cortical margins from the porous cancellous core. Lateral orientation matters in the thoracic region because normal alignment is defined in the sagittal plane, and small deviations in kyphosis translate into measurable changes on plain radiography and lateral scoliosis films.
